Hello from the Studio: April 2026

April: Bump Pulse gets a major update, Developer On Wheels reaches 1.0, and practical grocery lists land on the site.

April was about shipping and making small systems work better. The biggest work went into a major Bump Pulse update. Developer On Wheels hit 1.0 after nearly a year of iterations. I also spent time on internal automation to move faster and nudged Nurtura toward its next release. Below are the highlights and the practical resources published this month.

A month of shipping and simplifying

I kept the focus tight in April. The work was mostly unglamorous but useful. I pushed a large Bump Pulse update, polished Developer On Wheels into a 1.0, and spent time automating parts of the studio so future changes are less painful.

Nurtura moved forward too. It is not ready for a big public release yet, but the pieces are falling into place. Thanks to everyone who tested and sent quick, practical feedback. Ready for fewer steps and fewer surprises?

Smoother start and better controls

Major focus this month was onboarding and control. The update adds a simpler start experience. You can start and stop contractions with Siri and App Shortcuts. There are new widgets, Lock Screen actions, Live Activity controls, and an Apple Watch app with timer controls. After the main release there were a few small follow-ups to fix onboarding crashes and improve stability.

Installs are strong for this app, which helped prioritize the polish work.

1.0 after a year of refinement

Developer On Wheels reached 1.0 this month. It feels good to call it a stable base after nearly a year of iterations. The last stretch was about clarifying direction and smoothing rough edges. Thanks to early users and testers who helped shape what stuck.

Small fixes, Almost Out upkeep, and Nurtura progress

Almost Out received minor fixes and small improvements. I also spent focused time on internal tools and automation so future releases move faster without adding complexity. Nurtura is closer to its next big push but not yet ready for a public launch.
